It seems to be an electronic stimulation device of some sort..

There are TENS or Interferential stimulation (IFS) devices that are quite similar , you can usually ask about testing/sample treatment at some PT or chiropractors offices..
If it helps your symptoms you can buy them online sellers like Amazon for under 100.00..
I have an IFS I bought back in 2006, still works fine, having something like this at home you can use it anytime you want.. IFS treats deeper tissue & heals more than a TENS..

I'd suggest trying something like those before a new but similar and more costly product.
