flip flops would be a disaster for me, my feet are so numb that i wouldnt be able to retain the thong of the flip flop between my toes, and i wouldnt feel when they had fallen off while walking. That has already happened to me several times with even regular walking shoes. I have to retrace my steps back to find my shoe. i wear new balance walking shoes now with velcro straps so that i can adjust them more easily during the day and for retention.

Just a couple years ago I've started wearing flip flops again, and I prefer them to any other footwear, except in cold weather. The flip flops I buy are good quality and have good arch support. The cheap dime store flip flops would absolutely break my feet, even if I didn't have PN.
