Default Benfotiamine

Hi I was wondering has anyone ever used Benfotiamine, it is the fat soluble version of vitamin B1. I see that thiamine is recommended on page 2 of the 'Important links/stickies' thread and it seems Benfotiamine is better than standard thiamine.

From the bits I have looked up on google about this supplement it seems to be useful for diabetic neuropathy but im not sure if that is the only type of neuropathy it is useful for. Also im not sure if it is safe to take at the doses that are stated on a lot of sites (300mg twice a day).

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks
