Over 2 years now – numbness legs/arms and now reaching torso. Some loss of balance some lack of co-ordination. I had the Neurology tests and General Axon damage thru body was result. Neurologist not very forthcoming! So, I Googled all my symptoms and I found the perfect match. Chronic Axonal Sensory Polyneuropathy. It's taken a long time but after trying solutions for all the known causes (B12, spinal compression, etc) and after lots more Google research I finally found a scientific study that began by ruling out all the usual sources and searched for something else to explain the ‘unknown causes’ of Polyneuropathy and came up with aircraft fuel. I then double checked plane fuel exhaust damage and presto - Polyneuropathy.
I've had thick grey dust coming into my 3rd floor unit over last 13 years - which I now realize was coming from plane fuel exhaust from the many planes making their turn toward the international airport 2 miles away – turning close to and right in front of my building. Now I know I have toxic heavy metals in body. My plan is to totally detox the heavy metals and thus give the axon nerve endings a chance to regenerate. Programme I intend to follow = I now know it’s not enough to just vacuum my home. I’ll be keeping doors and windows shut a lot more, washing floors and all surfaces and getting a good Hepa air filter. Have started a PRE-detox programme. Note: If severe toxic metals are present you have to prepare for months BEFORE you start the detoxing. Personally I use all natural methods to handle anything. No chemicals or drugs. I am vegetarian and have eaten organic and used no chemicals/pills/antibiotics etc for 15 years. I am going to do infra red saunas and take lots of organic pre-detox foods and products. I am going to beat this! |

Here is the definition of CIDP from Wikipedia:
Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy - Wikipedia I hope you are successful with your program to detox the heavy metals from your system. Please keep us posted. I have not been successful in finding a cause for my Profound Peripheral Neuropathy (unable to walk without braces and a walker) and my severe Small Fiber Neuropathy. The most like culprit is that my Immune System attacks the organs/systems of my body, causing severe and irreversible damage. Everything else possible has been ruled out for me. But I would love to hear stories of success! Regards, ElaineD |

I bought a foot circulation booster from ebay about a year ago. It has Tens Pads as well as Infra Red. It has worked perfectly and continues to do so - nightly. You can set the vibration sensitivity. I think using this has slowed up the progress of the numbness. As I was using the machine I discovered something useful. Occasionally a leg cramp would start while using it. found out why! The action of the vibration can deplete minerals from the muscles. That is not normally a problem if you have a good mineral content but my minerals were low. I had taken things like magnesium and potassium etc but not much of the other minerals. So, that was handy for my to know. I have now upped the range and levels of minerals in my body. Good mineral levels are very important, as we know, and easy blood tests show mineral levels. Pic of the Foot massager is attached. It was a lot cheaper on ebay at $90 - than those in Chemist/Pharmacy. And it does everything we need.

[QUOTE=ElaineD;1256825]Here is the definition of CIDP from Wikipedia:
That sounds really tough, Elaine. I've read about that one in the scientific papers I studied in my own searching. There has to be a reason the immune system gets into trouble. So many chemicals, toxic substances, contaminated water and radiation from so many sources and consequently often ending up in our bodies. I think it pays to just keep searching and checking out what could be causing immune system breakdown - and certainly learn everything natural that can boost our immune system. It was only the researching that led me to the aviation fuel. The doctors certainly had no idea and could only make basic suggestions such as checking B12 etc. (I checked B12 in the early stages.) At least some doctors now know the massive damage B12 deficiency does and certainly causes serious Peripheral Neuropathy. |

I had a Hair mineral analysis done (USA lab) which showed out the roof levels of Vanadium and Cobalt. Both of these are used extensively in aviation fuel.
Incidentally while checking cobalt, I found many sites linking hip implants with Cobalt poisoning. (I don't have any implants) Caused when the joints rub and shave off bits of the metal. Not all the metals used in hips contain cobalt but for those with bad cobalt poisoning they are advised to get a new replacement without cobalt in it. I am now on a major natural handling detox programe to handle the toxics in my body from the aviation fuel. I have a list of those if anyone is interested. I have also stopped the ful vapour entering my home (have to keep everything shut for now!) and have an Innovair air purifier running constantly. |

I do MOST of my work for my health issues and I have an issue going on right now and I'm working to get to the "root" but will NOT go to a doctor that's for sure. I too use 95% supplements and found thru a mineral panel, the 3 minerals I was low in and all connected to joint issues. SO I do supplement with the 3 minerals, slowly but often enough. Hope all continues on a good path. C |

If I had relied on the blood tests that were done I would not have the answers I have. The Hair analysis I arranged with Interclinical Labs - respected place (some companies are rubbish)- showed me much more. The doctor doesn't offer that. The Hair test proved at least 3 of the blood results were totally wrong, I would have been working with incorrect information. The doctor had no explanation but looked at all the results and agreed it seemed the blood tests were wrong. She tried to explain the calcium - saying tests are different for blood and hair - but agreed that the truth is that the calcium is extremely high. I suggested a parathyroid ultra sound as a possible cause - but that is a good result - so am not sure yet where calcium is coming from. Am researching whether one of the key products in aviation fuel uses calcium?? Blood showed calcium and magnesium totally normal and potassium high. The hair showed calcium off the chart (229 instead of MAX of 95) and magnesium way way above acceptable and potassium was LOW. I took the hair the same day I did the blood tests - so ensure the same base. I found a liquid 75 trace plant minerals very good and being liquid helps assimilate. Check it out if you like - Youngevity Plant Derived Minerals. But don't get the one for Osteo (added calcium) because I checked by contacting them and it only has 1/3 of the minerals in it (not obvious in the literature). In this case its the minerals we are after so go for more minerals, for sure. Ever onwards and thank heavens for google. When you keep searching you find the scientific papers and they have been very helpful with test studies. |

Sandyocean, I would put more reliance on the blood measurements of Ca2+, Mg2+ and K+ levels. They are what are physiologically relevant (measurements from hair samples are not). How high is your blood K+?
I am puzzled that you are drinking a plant-derived source of minerals. Minerals (formally, monovalent and divalent cations) are essential nutrients with identical chemical properties regardless of their source. Have you come across any clinical evidence that minerals from plants have special properties which minerals from other sources do not have?

K showing a fraction low on Hair test. No blood test done for K. They didn't bother with that one. Interesting thought! I feel flowers and plants around us are a most excellent source of nutrition and healing on many levels. |
