Default fentanyl patch

i see a lot of you use this- i have read horror stories about withdrawal and dying from overdose.
how is it for you all
what happens when you forget to put one on? can you drive? think?
once you start do you have to stay on it for life? with a patch there is no cutting down on pills or using a lettle bit.
what are the side effects?
what does opiate naice mean?
do you have to have been on other opiods first so you wont go into resperatory failure?
as much info as i can get would be great.
thanks
steff
