Default Go, and get those records! THEN

While you are getting the copies....make another appt w/a specialist...Surely there is someone who has a clue about it all where you live? Do not pass go, youwon't collect $200. or the like, but you might just find the doc that YOU need? If you want help on how to search out a good doc, PM me and I'll give you all the resources I know on how to find one?
BTW My first neuro dismissed my PN as just that ...turned out to get worse? and I was still dissmissed as 'all in my head'...Got a second and third opion to back it up [by TOP DOCS] and the rest is well history? IF only I had not 'trusted' that first doc, well, my damages would have been a lot less. What Did I know about it all at first? I have learned tho.
Go, get a real EXPERT opinion, Sue and Joe are very right about this. I don't think you'd be asking if YOU weren't worried either.

Tom, There's some real jerk doctors out there! I have many health issues so I've had to deal with MANY stupid doctors...and paid them damn good money too! SO don't give up...just get your test results and move on to the next one. Do some research before you go to the next one. IF you put their name is Google you can find lots of info on doctors. Find some that's actually written and had medical papers published in journals......they seem to be the best ones. I wish you the best......it sure can be frustating!!!

If I knew how, I would start a blog or some way to post what some doctors do, so that prospective patients could read about him.

I had similar happen. If this doc works out of a hospital I would write a letter to the head. I'm doing that. I was treated in similar and its uncalled for. We wait months to get in and they spend a second. I wish docs would look deeper and go outsiide of there box. I told one of my docs if I die he doesn't care there are 100 behind me. I really feel many docs and I know there are many good so they deserve credit but the bad ones must have no concious. I agree about another neuro follow up but for me going to a pain clinic/amastesolgist was more helpful. Good luck.

This is so irritating to read that this still goes on... Further, how many people can keep afford to keep on going from doctor to doctor until they finally find one who will listen and help them... Even if you have insurance, the co-pays or out-of-pocket expenses eventually add up and are not cheap! And what about people whose insurance limits them in the number of doctors they can see???

I don't know why, but it seems like a lot of neurologists lead the pack in this arena...
