Default GP

Hi - just update - the doctor was my own neruo who have been seeing for two years - but again - in one roaring mood - he diagosed me with CIPD - and was treating me with IVIG which was helping - now that benefits were cut on that - he has just dropped it for me - and again, even though he has my records - and I did everything but go over to the office myself and do the work of his staff to gather together (they did not do it), he did not bother to really go thru them when doing the form - I've never seen a XXXX doc except at the very beginning of my claim 6 years ago - and it wasnt a medical doc cause that was never an issue there - they only pay psych claims for two years however and try to prove at that point it is one - they put me thru extensive testing and its not psych- and then had a nurse come out for a "home visit" to observe me - thats the only time they have done that.... they have gone on my doc statements since then - didnt have a review last year for some reason - so this year a doozy... never had a problem with doc statement before - and they always took my GP statement as all needed - this year they decided wasnt what they didnt hear what they wanted to hear so demanded neruo too.. and thats the issue right now... going to talk to GP today to see if he can intervene here....

I hope you make out ok with your GP today and getting that changed. I dont even know what to say about your neuro except that it makes me mad to read that so i can imagine how it is affecting you. They know better how an insurance company will use that one statement to deny benefits if they can. They do it all the time ( insurance companies). I hope it works out for you and soon.

Kmeb:

I'm praying for you.

Hope it works out.

It all comes down to money, doesn't it?? Insurance companies, HMO's, cost of this, etc. etc.

Sucks big time.

You're a fighter. Keep us posted.

Any luck with the GP? I think you've done a fabulous job advocating for yourself, and considernig the stress you're under, it's really amazing. You've got lots of people looking over the shoulders of XXX, so if you can just get your GP to submit for you, along with all those awfully positive tests, you might be home free with XXXX.

And then, we'd be back to the old question---how to get stronger and more well...

Default Ok, I Want News!

And it better be good, or your docs are gonna be in a lotta trouble! From ME! Got it? No one here has ever seen me MAD - I can be a FORCE one would rather not encounter, given any 'druthers'.

BTW, while I never ever mentioned the 'neuro' I'd fired 3 years ago, my current neuro knows as do surgeons who have 'worked on me' since I fired him. Top Docs KNOW who the 'indifferent ones' are - and word spreads, believe me.

Hoping for anything before the 'mass demostration' begins, that mass being me? and I don't think I'm that big! - j

So yea - I'm very stressed - and worried - and tired - but trying to pull it together for tomorrow whe I see my GP and ask if he can intervene on my behalf.... I also found an advocay group if he cant facilitate any action that may help.

So hanging in there for now
All I can do is offer hugs vibes and prayers. Everything will work out...it has to. It just has to.

Maybe not big but definitely a force to be reckoned with!

I don't know what else to say, other than I am shocked that this is your own doctor...

Have you seen the site called www.rateMds.com? I am sure there is a place waiting for him there with an appropriate rating...

Default My opinion

Kmeb,
I've given you my opinion things. I'm sorry I haven't emailed or called today, haven't been home long. Dealing with therapy plus today had to make a 100 mile drive to see my neuro. Got a major headache now from the tension of all of it. So I'm just now getting here to find out what is going on. Please let us hear what the dentist and GP said.

Billye
