Yup! 'Twas me.
Happy B'day- mine's 9/7 (63)
Betcha the x-rays show nothing. (hopefully).
Just bruised and stretched muscles or ligaments.
I finally had to go for an MRI of my cervical collar cause
it went clear up my neck too. No damage.
Muscle relaxants, cervical neck collar (at nite while sleeping)
and a Valium or 2.
3-4 weeks & it cleared up.

I was standing at my closet picking out my clothes for the day, in a towel, just out of the shower, I stepped one step backwards to get a better look at the clothes at the other end of the closet and I felt like I was on a tredmill going the wrong way. There I was, in all my glory, with my towel on the floor, me with my head and shoulders against the wall, and my daughter couldn't open the door because I was blocking it (thank goodness!) and I told her I was all right.

Well, lost my balance, fell backwards and my shoulder was the first to hit the wall. I slid down the wall and landed on my bottom. I didn't feel the pain for a while, then later... ouch! AND, it was my birthday!

So, it's been five days, can't lift my arm, hurts to hold heavy things, etc. can't sleep on that side, and I finally went to the doctor. He sent me down for X-rays. I'll find out today what damage I did.

I told my brother that I turned 48 but I feel 78 today! I'm using a cane with my left arm, and wearing a sling on my right arm! As I sit here typing this, I'm waiting for the hair color to set to cover my gray roots! (My pre-mature gray hair turned gray when I was 30, and I'm not ready for that yet!)

Oh, the wonderful world of aging with PN!
(((((((((Seams)))))))))

I hope you had a happy birthday!

The falling thing... gosh I hate that.

A few weeks ago my knees and hip kept sort of giving out and I'd start to fall.. I get cold with apprehension when that keeps happening.

and then it stopped and I was so happy, and I fell twice for no reason, I just lost my balance and fell. But luckily the worst of the two times I fell into an old iGourmet box I'd kept because it was soooo cute, like a little cooler. So the styrofoam was an easy landing.

Have you tried Epsom salt baths at all?

I've been soaking my feet in Epsom salts, and it seems to reduce that buzzing feeling, and they don't ache... actually it's only my left foot that is a problem. My right foot feels normal.

I wish I could take an Epsom salts bath... I sometimes wonder if I will ever have a sort of normal house again...

I hope you are feeling better!
