Lightbulb Oh...if Bob is going to do THAT!!!!

I have a slightly older pic...back in my contact lens days. I even had it on
the OBT volunteer pic board at one time. There was an OBT poster called neverbroken who for about 2 yrs donated bandwidth to posters from OBT for this purpose. That was shut down finally when she opened her own forum.
But at the time (and this surprised me) I was only second in views to JL himself! (the view #s were posted).

This was just after my son was born...since I am wearing a certain Tshirt that I loved then.

I no longer have a curly perm. (I wear it short and gray now)
I now wear trifocals ( I am very nearsighted)
I am a bit heavier
I am 5'6-5'7' (closer to 5'7')
(you can even see my old goiter banding my throat)

I am carrying my beloved pet Pooski the cat who died of thyroid cancer after my son was born. We used to carry her around up North, when her feet would get sore or tired hiking around the island. She was a lovely cat, and used to always comfort me when I was tired/sick or down.

So if Bob is going to put up a golden oldie... I thought that was a great idea.
This is my idea of the compromise!

Default and I think I am still safe from

those "hit men" who would like to "shut me up" because I post opinions
which sometimes embarrass drug companies! LOL

My current disguise is pretty good!

Melody's story about how people did not recognize her...reminds me of a similar one I had.

My thyroid got so bad finally the doctor's would decide to fix it...long story..very frustrating. But during that goiter time I had a pretty swollen face, it got very round. So after the treatment(this was like 8 yrs ago), my face changed. I didn't lose alot of weight, but my face returned to its more long less round intention. Then I went to a company CE meeting and no one recognized me.
While we were sitting down, I was talking to a friend, and one older friend turned around and said "I know that voice" and looked right at me! Shocked.
So I was not being snubbed as I thought, they all just didn't recognize me. We mostly talk on the phone to each other anyway all over the state, so I guess the voice was all!

Hi Mrs. D.

Isn't it amazing how the senses kick in and we recognize voices from ages ago.

I was walking on the avenue yesterday. I heard a voice that took me back 25 years. I knew immediately that it was the mother of a little girl my son went to school with. I will never forget her voice if I live to be 100.

I looked at her and said her name. Let's just call her S in this post. I said outloud "S", hi it's been 25 years. She didn't know me from a hole in the wall but that was okay. I said "it's me, Melody, remember, your daughter Marcy went to school with my son Frank??" She looked at me and after going Oh My God around 10 times, we both started to laugh.

Then she points to me and asks her husband "you remember Melody, right". He goes, "I have never met this woman before". I laughed my head off. Of course I weighed close to 300 at the time our kids were little.

She's a grandma now. How nice is that.

I wonder who else's voice I'll recognize. Because I sure don't know anybody's faces anymore. Not for years. lol
