Default I did

Steff,
I've had two of them. It really did nothing for me. But I have heard of people who have had them with good results. I'm hoping Liza Jane will check in, I think she has had some. But not sure.

Steff,

I thought I answered this in another post. Oops, sorry, that was an ESI post. But, yes, have had Selective Nerve Root injections for the cervical spine...haven't had them yet for the lumbar. Yes, they work for me...quite well. And, no they did not make me worse. If anything, they take the inflammation down and last a good long while.

There was a show on Discovery Medicial Channel concerning chronic nerve pain and they explained the use of nerve blocks with lidocane injections, some have already posted pro and con about these types of injections

Default thanks silver lady

thanks for info-death beign one of the side effects is scary since i remember now i had one of these when i had foot surgery 20 years ago and i felt like someone was taking me down the tunnel of death. i was alright and no one noticed any change in me, but i did and now i am terrified to consider another one. told doc and he looked at me like i was crazy.
i am so sorry to hear that you are not well and trying to help others at the same time

I had two selective spinal nerve root injections for herniated discs, which I have in addition to PN. I would not do it again. My current neuro says knowing what we know about me having PN, (sensory and autonomic small fiber) which we didn't know back when I had the injections, he would not recommend me having them. Again, I am not you, and we are all different, so every decision must be made individually, based on your condition.
