In addition to what MrsD posted, the blurb Mark referred to is very poorly written. It makes no distinction between deficiency and "too much." It starts out with deficiency, throws in a side effect that apparently is rare and limited to the cyanocobalamin form, and then goes into problems due to deficiency again. Not a good source of information.

Regarding whether or not B12 makes a difference, it certainly is not a cure-all, does not help everyone.

However, newer people to this forum need to remember that many people benefit hugely over the long run, without having experiencing such a dramatic change. Melody's experience is uncommon but wonderful.

I am so grateful to the makers of Methyl B-12 (and to Rose and everybody else for all their info), that I can't begin to tell you.

The difference in my feet is astronomical.

And get this, years ago, way before I had the diabetic neuropathy, I was sitting around the corner talking to a neighbor who happened to work for my doctor at the time.

We were talking about diabetes. She knew I was diabetic and trying to control my sugar. This conversation took place about 7 years ago.

She said "you do know that when you get neuropathy, there is no cure, it is progressive, you can't stop it, it just gets worse, you do know that don't you" We had been talking about Alan's neuropathy and I happened to mention that he was not a diabetic. She said "oh, that's different, he still has a shot, but if you're diabetic, and you get neuropathy, well, that's it, then, it gets progressivly worse'.

OH REALLY!!!!!! Too bad she moved away.

Well, I am sooo tired from not being able to sleep from the extreme stress of this appeal and hearing on the CDs where the Plaintiff's lawyer lied. I can show that what he said isn't what the record shows... but if that was always true and the lower court still decided for him... then how much chance is there?

That is what's making me not sleep.

I'm just here to get the link for the sugar thread for a friend.

BUT, I had to say that your thread title made me smile. I love it. I'm soooo glad you wrote that.

:)

I wish I could show you the page I just did, devoted to that very idea.

It has to do with how I've lost 10 inches by exercising 3 minutes a day, when I'm well enough to exercise.

And other things.

thanks, Melody. :)

Alan's IVIG nurse came here at 1:30, (caught in a severe thunderstorm). She was completely and thoroughly soaked.

So what was Melody to do?? Why, give her some clothes to put on!!! She put her drenched clothing away, and she put on a pair of my black spandex shorts and a nice black and silver shirt. Looking spiffy, she did the IVIG.

And we spoke French in between the paperwork and the blood pressure checks.

AND SHE ADORES MY MUFFINS.

:)

Have you been to France, then?

MelodyL 09-11-2007 05:59 PM

Mais non, mais Je parle francais!!!

No, but I speak french. Comes in handy sometimes.
Sunday I went to a flea market and as I was walking up and down the ailes (there were 50 tables just with jewelry so I was in heaven. I saw two women with hand crafted jewelry and one of them had a french accent. I started to speak to her in french and then I spent the next 30 minutes babbling my fool head off. Never had so much fun.

And the best part, she thought I was french?? Now THAT is a compliment.

Haven't spoken it that long since I worked for a german company where I had to speak french, english, and if a german telex came in, I had to read it phonetically over the phone to my boss.

Now I told him "I speak french, italian, some spanish and of course english, but I do not speak german". His reply "no one can read german phonetically as well as you, just read me the telex over the phone". I did and he said "I understood everything you just read to me'.

I said "I'm glad someone did because I didn't know one word of what I said".

German is similar to english but I never learned it.

But I'm still young!!!
lol
