Vanilla Shake??/

Sounds good considering all your esophagus has gone thru! Just hope more slides down in a comfy way!

Remember Kids getting Ice Cream ...all they wanted after getting the tonsils out? Think of it all that way? You can get fat because it's allowed! YEAH!
Really, I hope things heal faster than expected and you can do something drastic...like eat NUTS soon.. [I know, now I've created a monster?] My turn comes soon...molar extraction...no biggie...except for the chomp factor ...the anticipation is the pits! - j

swallowing...

If this continues to be uncomfortable.... make your doctor give you something.

There are compounded liquids (some are called Kool's) to help with this.
They are mixes of Maalox and lidocaine with or without other ingredients, and often used after radiation for cancer (which can temporarily damage the lining).

The lining of the esophagus should start repair in 24hr, and you should only
have a short time of discomfort there.

I hope you feel better very soon. Its way past your time. I'm the milkshake queen. I hope it heals you quickly and feels good on the throat. Many hugs.

HI All,
I don't have a temp so far this morning so hoping that's a good thing! I saved some of the milkshake from last night and had it this morning and that helped breakfast go down easier.
I wish I'd known about the Kool compounds cause I would have asked for one! Hurting with every swallow is not fun! I'm hoping things are starting to heal and regenerate now.

Nice going, Roxie... I bet you are a famous patient now. Maybe we will get to see pictures of your esophagus on CNN... :) Seriously, I am glad it is over for you and also happy to hear you sound like you are feeling better...
