Default Restore-N

Anyone heard of this/tried it? It looks interesting but it seems like there are so many different products to treat PN that don't work... It's called Restore-N and I guess it's a cream that increases circulation. just google "restore-n neuropathy" and it'll show up. The reason that it seems fishy is that I can't find the active ingredients on the website. I'd be willing to try this, it's not too expensive but again, I'm overseas.

Thumbs down You're right... very fishey

Anything that does not share ingredients... well....caveat emptor!

I read that site and I could find nothing, but hollow statements.

Also it only has 2 hits on Google. very strange.

My guess that one of the mystery ingredients is capsacsin... that would mimic
"dead" nerves waking up all right. Burn like the dickens too.

Lightbulb yeah that is fishey too...

how a newbie in a far off land, found it so easily.

Billye, I think you should PM that address to Melody and edit your post.

If this is a solicitation that was cleverly put....you just provided it
for the original poster!

I don't like that site at all.... so many words, with no substance.

Here is a bio for James C. Boswell:

I guess he had a "message" to invent this product? And keep it mysterious?

I find it absolutely amazing that this creme is $24 and change and helps the numbness, and arthritis, and carpal tunnel and gout, etc. etc. and THERE ARE ONLY 4 PEOPLE WHO GAVE TESTIMONIES ON THIS PRODUCT!!!!!

There should be hundreds of testimonies up there (provable, with contactable phone numbers). I also went to Yahoo to see if there was any information on this product. ANY INFORMATION AT ALL!!! There was none. Then I went to Google. There is stuff about it on Google. I'm going to check it out later on.

So what did Melody do today??

Melody contacted the Neuropathy Association, and gave them the link to this product. I asked them for their opinion and asked if they had ever heard of this.

I mean, let's use the following scenario. Let's say I weigh 400 lbs, and I want to weigh 150 lbs. A new pill comes out and says "whoopee, you can lose 300 lbs, and it works". Then I see 4 people talking about.

Do you think I would spend my money if only 4 people were helped??

No, I like to see results, in newspapers, on tv, on 20/20, on Oprah!!!

Then, I'll spend my money.

So let's see what the Neuropathy Association has to say about this.

Oh, by the way, tonight is their meeting in NYC, in the CBS Building.

Alan is going. I can't because of my sciatica and I'm going to Cornell tomorrow.

Can't do two trips in two days. Too much for me.

So I'll get back to you guys if I hear anything.

Melody

Default Restore-N vs. Topricin

I don't know if anyone has tried Topricin cream (useless), but I sent an email to the info mailbox for Restore-N asking how the 2 products differ - no answer yet. I'm tempted to give it a try ($25 compared to cost for comfy shoes this year is a drop in the bucket!). If I try it or get an answer to the email I'll let you know.

This guy Boswell and his wife are sure keen to get everyone who visit their website to go to their store. As for his Restore-N product I wonder if he enlisted the help of God when preparing this incredible concoction.

If there was an ounce of fact in his long web spiel then he would obviously state the ingredients. Also he would become a multi millionaire very quickly and I am sure no one on this forum would deny him a sainthood.

He and his attractive wife are obviously very good at producing websites but I suspect less capable at saving us all from our pain and the then consequent lack of necesssity for this forum.

I checked out the Topricin--- this is a homeopathic remedy. Now I've explained this so often I could just scream....

Those numbers after each ingredient indicate that the concentration is miniscule..in the millionths of a gram. That is how homeopathy works, by diluting things to infinity and then convincing people that it is working (70% of many responses are placebo in reality).
The arnica in it, used in higher concentrations has been used for centuries, and some people find it helps with muscle strains, etc.

So I would not expect any homeopathic remedy to help PN. After all we need research into cellular failure. For a good example, is the post I made on CMT..and vitamin C... this is theorized to be an intracellular effect on oxidation. I do think perhaps some antioxidant effect, or a sorbitol blocker may be more reasonable. Things like Topricin or this Restore do not have prove efficacy thru the FDA. They can put anything in those creams, and sell to desperate people!

Remember too, he is psychologist. I think he thinks he can persuade effectively.
