Brian:
Just so you know. I take one 5000 pill every morning. So a 60 day supply lasts me 60 days. But that is just me!!!! I am so glad I found iherb.com.

Yes so true Mrs D, initially i had paid $75 a bottle of Life extension b12 methyl through an Aussie place, some how it got through someone was making a big buck, that was back in the days that even iherb were very hesitant to export to OZ, but because of the high costs i only ordered a couple of bottles then went onto our own Cynnocob'.

This is exactly what it says: Dissolve under tongue or chew one losenge every 3 or 4 days with a meal. Or as directed by your qualified health care consultant. Vegetarians/Vegans typically require B12 supplementation. Now, in my case, I haven't eaten any beef in 20 years or so. Not that I'm a vegetarian. I bascially live on grilled chicken, grilled veggies. Fish, (I do treat myself to Dunkin Donuts in the a.m. but I've lost 4 lbs this month so whatever I'm doing, it's working. Supper is basically a protein, veggies and a salad. No starches whatsoever after breakfast (I allow myself a piece of bread or a low-carb bagel. ). It really is something to be able to get up in the morning and look forward to a nice Dunkin Donuts breakfast. I don't feel deprived. I have the whole entire day to work off that bagel. And of course, I make my banana, blueberry muffins which are the talk of my neighborhood. I made a batch yesterday, I brought it around the corner, knocked on my friend's door and you never saw somebody grab a muffin and put it in their mouth. Their dog started barking and she goes "oh no, Babe, this is for NANA, not for you, go and eat your doggie treat". I never laughed so hard. Thank god, I can eat these muffins. They don't impact my sugar one bit, and I enjoy them with a nice cup of coffee. Some guilty pleasures, well, you don't have to be guilty about them, thank goodness for that. My friend called me yesterday and said "I just ate cottage cheese with pineapples and I'm nauseas". I laughed and said "why on earth don't you eat a nice salad with greens, tomatoes, raw cut up zucchinis, slice red onions, radishes, add some grilled chicken, and put on a splash of extra virgin olive oil" She said "you eat all that for lunch". If you think about it, it's just raw veggies in a cereal sized bowl, with some grilled chicken". I said "it probably has less calories than your bowl of cottage cheese and pineapples". Thank god for grilled chicken.

Ok, thanks Mel, i am just checking what the recommended daily allowance is with the 5 mg ones, only because of our import laws [ no more than 3 months supply ] in any one order, so the 5g ones would go well over the our customs 3 months supply law, taken every 3 or 4 days.
That's one good diet you have worked out, 4 pounds a month is great especially with being able to treat yourself in the mornings like that, good on you I also am one that has to be careful with starchy foods, which i love, but my system will stack on the weight quickly if i am not watching the correct amounts, i eat lots of grilled skinless chicken & veg's too, steak always once a week & fish couple times a week on average. You have made my mouth water talking about those muffins, hard to beat a nice muffin and wash it down with a good mug of coffee. all the best, Brian |

Many thanks for this info on getting methylcobalamin into Australia at reasonable cost. It seems like my error was probably ordering too much at once (I ordered three bottles of 5mg tablets). It would have been nice if the Aus customs were civilised enough to tell me that they were keeping my goods and why. Martin |

How did you finally figure out that they kept your shipment? Did they offer any compensation?
