Well, you can't bump me off that easy!
I'm going to catch up on my reading this evening, but I "just" got back on line after my move and had to run into the board and say hello! I missed you all so much. Hello to all the Newbies. I'll meet you all more formally later today. I've been off the board since mid Sept. We moved, and it's a long story, but I finally got internet access and am back up and running (electronically!) Oh, remember the fall after my birthhday in August where I hurt my shoulder and went for x-rays? Well doc said it was nothing, just getting older and it takes longer to heal. So, I let it go... well, I packed, lifted boxes, moved boxes, cleaned, scrubbed, couldn't sleep on it, blah blah blah, it still hurt, still hurt. I'm thinking, I guess I'm just really aggravating it by continuing to use it during the move and not resting well. Finally after six weeks of not being able to sleep, I went to "another" doctor in his company and she said... Oh my, you have a pretty bad Torn Rotator Cuff, you need an MRI and we need to schedule you for surgery as soon as we get the information from the results from the MRI. I wanted to walk down the hallway to the other doctors office and slap him along side his head, but I couldn't raise my arm high enough to reach him! I am in pain from the back of my neck all the way down to my wrist. Apparently if you have torn rotator cuff and don't "treat" it, the muscles around it start to spasm and your arm freezes up. (Fingers still type ![]() I am learning to be left handed, and ONE armed! It's quite an experience for me. Anyway, no more whining. I'll read all the posts I've missed out on, get caught up with all the gossip, and fill you in on the Torn cuff when I get info from the MRI next week. See y'all lager! Oh yea, I live in Northern Ca, so not affected by the fires. I am praying for those in Southern Ca. They are not in the clear yet. Still fires burning and dangerous spots around to watch. Missed you all! Terri |

Welcome back, and, it is not unusual these days to NEED a second opinion. I am glad they found the problem and it can be repaired and you will get the frozen shoulder unfrozen in time and with PT.

the cuff problem can sure be painful. Over the years I have torn my left and right and ended up with frozen shoulder. I had physical therapy sessions for both. Loads of fun!! good luck

A torn rotator cuff is painful. I've had one altho it was small, I did have a friend with one that required surgery. I sure hope you get along well. Maybe it won't be bad enough to require surgery. I had to have Physical Therapy with mine and eventually got it healed. But it was a very small one.
Good luck and I'm glad you are out of the way of the fires. Billye

There you are! Welcome back. I have wondered how you were doing with all of the fires. Glad to hear you are up north...
