Like this? Had to do it a little differently because I have a Mac. Thanks for the instruction, though, because this foggy brain wouldn't have been able to figure it out on its own.

Thank you to everyone for all the cute Christmas greeting -- and especially for the utube video, Melody! Merry Christmas to all!

Deb:

It's a copy and paste thing. You go to the website, copy the codes, you paste it here into the message, you go to the bottom, you hit reply, and BINGO, your graphics will be inserted.

Let's see if ole Melody can give this a try.

OOOPS.
didn't work for me.

Going to dunkin donuts with Alan now.
When I come back, I see that I have to learn this graphic thing.

Lightbulb options for graphics...

one can put up their own stuff by getting a Photobucket account and uploading there. Most of it is free. They then give you an url with img tags that you just copy and paste here into the text box we type in.

There is a FREE linking site called BestSmileys.com

They give you a url to the left of the picture/graphic you like, and you just
copy/paste it here.... simple .

This is one of the Christmas pages:
http://bestsmileys.com/christmas1/

Most places that give free graphics and avatars DO NOT let you link to them.
You right click on what you want, and copy it to your harddrive. Then upload those to Photobucket and copy the url provided. It is just an extra step.

BestSmileys lets you link directly to them, and they are easy and very good.

I guess that's why I like the Best Smiley's thing.

It's easy.

And I like easy!!!

But I'm just curious. Many of these sites are absolutely free (for example the best smileys thing) How do they stay in business?

thanks, mel

My computer is like me....it construes everything as infected...

I can't download anything without my antivirus blocking me, which is probably a good thing. This computer is overloaded with junk, starting to get elderly...well, let's call it late middle middle age.

I could turn off the antivirus, but then...who knows what I would catch...and then I would be isolated from you guys. My lap top had a neurological problem, at the electrical input area, so it is not up to work right now....it is on disability, perhaps permanent.

I get to leave the hard stuff up to you more technologically advanced folks and just have fun seeing what you come up with.

It is so foggy here...it is oppressive and I worry about travelers....it is good to see the happy lites on here.
