Default Mayo Part 2 coming up

My husband and I are leaving for Rochester in the morning. I have consultations with the ENT and the pulmonary doc on Wednesday, and barring any further testing, a final wrap-up with the rheumatologist on Thursday. I am going to put together tonight a list of questions to ask during the appointments so that I will feel more prepared.

So by Thursday afternoon, if all goes as planned, I should know the results of the heart, pulmonary, CAT scan and blood tests. I should also find out if I will be switching to stronger medication. And I hope to get a referral to a long-term rheumatologist who will take this Sjogren's diagnosis seriously (the neuro at Mayo said to call HIM should my neuropathy worsen or if I have another stroke-like episode).

So I guess I will "see" you all again next year! Happy New Year!

Default OH! Fanfaire? Safe

TRIP! PLEASE!
All I can wish and hope for is an almost safe and leisurely trip, with tests that tell YOU what you know in your self....
Better yet, that something might be done soon that can easy all the pain sometime soon. Somehow I have a snippet or three of FAITH that there is something coming....

I hope this isn't presumptious of me, but for all I wish to give you these:'s to help you thru this all.

Yep, the new year has GOT to be better? It's what we all want and hope for. - j

Best of luck to you, Fanfaire. I am at least happy that they take your symptoms seriously and recognize the need for help. Hopefully, their Rheumatologist will play a part in educating local physicians about the problems that can develop with Sjogren's...

Default More Luck

Wishing you safe trip - and most important - that the docs will be able to define as much as possible your conditions - possible treatments - help your local docs with treatments - and that you will be feeling better...

Safe driving and sending stength to get thru all of it

Default Fanfaire,

the very best to you for a safe and pleasant trip to Rochester and back. I hope your test results and consultations will bring you a resolution, diagnosis, and a treatment plan to move forward.
