This is PN. This is a comprehensive article, and clearly states the extent to which this disease can affect people.

Numbness, tingling, burning-feels like you are on fire (all over in my case), pins and needles feeling-can be all over, strange neurological symptoms-like limbs jerking, muscle twitches, strange sensations running up and down the spine, face goes to sleep and sometimes the area moves from under the nose to the mouth, gums and nerves to teeth can hurt, burning mouth, blood pressure can be crazy up, down, up down, pain/strange GI symptoms because the tract doesn't work right or at all, urinary incontinency, breasts burn like fire in my case. I am drawing a blank on what else to list here, but I know there are many people here who can add information and will be happy to do so.

Neuropathies are a disease/dysfunction of the nerves which can be due to various reasons. See MrsD's post above for a better explantation...

People on our site just don't want to see you join the ranks of our unfortunate club here. Feeling miserable and not being able to work is just the pits.

Hope this will help.

Cathie,

Sorry just signed on. I see you found the article you were looking for.

As for the PN, I'd like to add pain to it. I have severe pain that at first I thought was from my Fibro but a doc in Florida (neurologist) that specializes in breast implant related problems told me this pain I have is the PN.

I do have alot of the other symptoms that you mentioned about. The muscles spasms and jerking, numbness, tingling, strange sensations (almost feels like something is crawling under the skin), GI problems that I never really considered being PN but IBS, they have become much worse so now you really have me wondering. Anyway, after reading this and knowing how bad it can be, I'm hoping that Undecided decides not to get implants. This can be a living hell. I'm sure alot of ladies on this site would agree with me.

Oh Beth, was that dumb or what??? I left off pain... PAIN is the biggie... For some people, repetitive muscle use even causes major pain. I am not talking about doing chinups here. I am talking about minor use of the same muscles more than once or twice-like picking up two or three things off of the floor...

IBS, try burning bladder, thought to be Interstitial Cystitis... Who knows. I think someone else on here posted problems with that and various medications aggravating the bladder.

After reading over some of the posts, I think she may have gotten some good information. We probably just overwhelmed her with too much at the same time...

This is an excellent article. I just read the symptoms on the page and I had that problem with my feet and the sheets touching them when I had my implants. I also had severe burning pain in my feet at that time and now have it when I stand on my feet for a long period of time. It is painful! After the removal of the implants, this has improved as I don't have the burning pain unless I stand on my feet for a long time. I do have pain in my shins along with numbness. Tingling in my finger tips and interestingly enough, I have absolutely no reflexes at all. Not in the knees or elbows. I don't see that mentioned anywhere and my neurologist told me that was PN.

Cathie

Cathie,

I have problems with my bladder. Pain and they found blood in the urine. I just went through a series of tests and the Friday before Christmas had to have a procedure under local anesthesia. They put a probe in my bladder and injected die in my kidneys. They found nothing and I was told to see my ob/gyn. My doctor no longer feels that the blood is coming from the bladder. Problem is, I had a hysterectomy so I'm a bit confused as to where this blood is coming from myself.

Yes, I think she has had alot of information to ponder.

I have problem with bladder once again.. Also unblievable pain from using
my hand for 25 mins. cutting a few soft veggies for dinner. I could not
use that hand for 3 days. With PN there are just so many reasons and
far to many problems to list.

Cathie and C. thank you,Beth do your site your way,but those would
be very good to use,I hope you do. Sue
