Sorry for your trouble, HeyJoe. People with ankle issues should wear very good, suppportive shoes at all times. Ms. D's recovery advice is right on!

OH Joe! I know that HURTS!

And it's not going to go away soon, tho I wish it would.
See if your doc or podiatrist has some co-flex disposable wrap and maybe some pre-wrap that you can use to help keep things together. Then keep off it as much as you can with some ice compresses on it if you can stand them.
I agree with everyone that you should see either an orthopod or podiatrist to help check and make sure there is really no more damage than a 'sprain'. Sprains are bad enough. If it's worse, well..nuf said. Best to be cautious with this stuff or it could get worse.
That uneven ground can be the undoing of us all! Get well FAST! - j

Awwwwwww Joe, sorry about your ankle. I would come walk your dogs for ya, if my boss would let me have the time off, but he wouldn't and I'm sure your dogs would walk me!!! Feel better big guy.

I read all these accidents and they are something to worry about. I find myself cutting corners to close, it's hard to describe what I mean, yet afterwards, I think, wow, you can't do that, one of these days you are going to hurt yourself! It's such a weird feeling, it's like my legs lean a little, stressing my ankles--just the fact that I am realizing it has to mean something is not feeling right and it's time to change the behavior.

Neuropathy is such an everchanging creature. You read what one is feeling and you realize, hey, I felt that once, yet, now I feel this. My toes used to go numb all the time, very rarely now, yet, the soles of my feet are burning, which never happened and now, much to my dismay, my feet are liking socks and I am the barefoot queen. Still have to sleep barefoot though!!! :pEverchanging!!!!

I have had sprains before where i had at that time a soft cast. Its not broken according to x rays but its swollen so that isnt a definite. Thanks for all of the replies. I have been dropping things a lot more the last week or so, like up to 3 times a day. Who knows what that signifies, like Deb said these symptoms come and go in many cases. Aint PN grand!

Now see Joe, I go through stages where I can't hang onto anything, there are days where I drop everything I touch, I get so frustrated. Remember when I dropped my cellphone on the cement and had to pay to replace it. That day I dropped things all day.

I bought myself a guitar after Christmas, I have wanted one for so long. Somedays, my right hand goes numb, funny thing is, my left is the worst of the 2. I haven't had any trouble with my left fingers going numb, but sometimes I can't get them to go where I want them to go. Now when Kev is trying to play for me, he sometimes can't feel where his fingers are, then he gets frustrated. I do think the guitar will be good therapy for me and I actually am learning to play it.:D

Well, back to work. Feel better Joe.
