Oh my, am I to look forward to this senior member thing and all its accoutraments?

We also shovel a path thru our yard where he cuts over to the neighbors...we are talking about 1/2 acre of shoveling...so he appreciates us. I gave him a refrig. magnet I made from puddingstone. He was a little clueless on that one. Just about 100% of Ebay uses USPS now. A couple of UPS but USPS is fairly reasonable. The flat rate boxes are the heaviest.

My God, you are killing that poor mailman....LOL...next he will be out with herniated discs or just a plain hernia.
They had cool rocks at the rock show....one man had what looked to be a greenish bowling ball....he said it was polished onyx. Needless to say, I could not lift it nor afford it. I love geodes....they are really fascinating...I have a few...small ones....I drop a lot of stuff these days....small geodes I survive... |

My oldest brother was a mail man,no little truck,oh it was in souther
Il. Didn't retire still they made him at 65..Thank goodness he grew arould there,but he was breathing in that steelmill air,winters were cold ,but he divlivered mail for all genteraions of friends grandparents ,parents, grandchildren,and summers were hot..I think he got bitten once,he new the dogs. Those big bag's of Vet meds got him. His mother fed him and so did everybody else if he would let thm...But he checked on the elderly,and did alot for the community. They gave him water and juice in the summer and something warm till he got to his mom's, His only complain he had to climb over the snow banks to make it to the doors,but he's healtly from all that walking..Hugs Sue |

You know, my mailman knows more about me and my family than any one else I know......and I have not heard a great deal of gossip around town, so the guy must keep his secrets to himself.
Can you imagine what the mailman delivers, LOL! My mailman is not the problem....I am getting peeved at the plow guy....altho to his credit he cleared that area near the mailbox quite well enough for the mailman to drive up to that mailbox....or else, we would be out there shoveling it out....that said, we are expecting another, 'winter storm' on Sunday...THAT if it comes will once and for all, bury the mailbox...and it will likely be found down the road somewhere. Eh every one does their best....our neighbor came and plowed us out last week...hubby got most of it shoveled first, but none the less, my neighbor came thru and cleared out the turnaround and even my walk to my front door....he did several of the neighbors' driveways, and they are not short. Every one pitches in. |
