Default I Think?

You have just gotten the most astute summary of all of us 'regulars'?
Kind of scary, at first, don't let that put you off tho, please. Shows we are human I think.

OK SUE? What have you done to yourself now?????? Oh my! That balance thing, it's so unpredictable and truly fraught with the breaks and bumps - isn't it? You have to stop doing that! I mean, it HURTS! - j

Welcome to our little family.
Sue my you have so much going on and you are always inn my thoughts. I would love a visitor in Ca and I too hope to visit my mom for mothers day. Not doing so great though. You did give such good info about all of us. You forgot how you are such a strong and sweet lady.
Anyhow I am a yonger one too with this issue for a year. I have pn but similar to rsd in my legs. Now with a back issue. In the summer I went to cleveland clinic for a pain rehab day program which was all about a lot of activity. Anyhow first check with your docs for sure but with my issue I have to push myself through the pain and be on my feet. All the docs said as much as I can. Cyclops I envy you and taking risks. Just be carfeul.I fear a lot still and I have a rule my feet don't leave the ground. I may try the pool though. I have begun pushing more and trying to trust the process.I was extremly active before this happened. I will say for me that I have to be careful cause my flare ups from pt for example can last weeks. I have a rule no one touches me. I also get very cold to where I feel like I am walking on blocks of ice. I think from lack of circulation.Anyhow welcome.

Sue, that was the sweetest, nicest summary of our group! You are too much. Thanks for inquiring about me. I had a wonderful week in Florida and it has helped my depression some. (I did miss you guys, though!) Now looking at nasty weather again tomorrow, but it was nice to be warm for awhile. My son is on his way from Iraq to Australia for a 2 week R&R.

Cyclelops, your posts are wonderful, informative and inspiring. I was never an athlete at all, but I always loved the outdoors, so I back-packed and camped in college, and my husband and I white-water canoed before kids, and we have always been hikers. The last few months I have been pushing myself to start walking again. We are going to Yellowstone in June and I would love to be able to hike some. I even walked a total of 5 miles one day in Florida (all flat) and paid for it afterwards but boy was it worth it. I am battleing my depression, too, and it is hard work. After reading you posts, I am wondering if I could go to a gym and do some upper body stuff, or work my quads, etc. on a machine without starting up too much pain. I can see now much that having goals and being active helps you mentally, and I sure could use that. Maybe I will give it a shot it I can overcome the inertia this dang depression gives me. Keep on keeping on, you are helping the rest of us so much!
