We have never been to any pain clinic in Beth Israel Medical Center.

Refresh my memory if you can, where exactly did you hear of this Arnold Pain Clinic.

I am so sorry you had a bad experience there.

About 7 years ago, my husband went to the pain management department of Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, NY and they gave him the Fentanyl pain patch. That saved his life. The pain was unbearable at the time.

Eventually he was weaned off but he had to go into the hosptial to detox (that's a whole other story, believe me).

I am just wondering where you heard about this Arnold Pain Center.

P.S. There's two Melody's on Neurotalks. Maybe it was the other Melody who gave you this info????
Sorry that I had given wrong information. I apologize! Sometimes I just get mixed up with all the information I read and write. Again, sorry!

I am sorry that I quoted Mel. I do get confused with all the things I read and write. I have apologized to her.

I guess the best thing for me is to stop reading and writing for awhile. It sometimes makes me feel more depressed and not better.

Take care,
Eileen

Don't give it another thought. I've done this so many times, I can't begin to tell you. Don't stop reading and posting.

It's what we are here for. I just wanted to clear that up. And you did just that. And thanks.

But really, there are so many posts here that it is natural for some to misquote and stuff. Happens all the time.

So stay around and read and learn and contribute.

I know you're depressed.

Want to hear depressed? I've spent the last 3 days bent like a pretzel because of my osteoarthritis.

Full of tiger balm and heat wraps.

When the weather goes from hot to cold and back to hot, well my poor body doesn't know what to make of it so my body yells at me.

And boy has it been yelling at ME!!!!

So what did I do this morning when my body yelled at me??

I limped over to Dunkin Donuts.

See, even limping, I HAVE TO HAVE MY DUNKIN IN THE MORNING.

Wow, when I just sat there reading my paper and sipping that beautiful cup of coffee, well my body quieted down for a bit.

It will calm down when the weather stabilizes.

But until then, I just have to watch what I'm doing, I can't use my Shark Steam Mop because that sucker uses every muscle in my body.

I love it but I have to wait until it gets really warm outside.

Until then, I'll get my Alan to scrub the floors. He gave me such a look like "what? are you crazy? Me, use the Steam Mop???"

My answer to him "If you want to eat dinner, you'll use the Steam Mop"!!!!

So try and cheer up, okay.

Stay well.

Melody

Default reading

I am still reading every day. Just can not contribute right now. I know there are others with so many worse problems than my husbands and I feel so bad for everyone. I sometimes just cry reading the different stories. I wish I could help in some way. But I am caught up in my own situation and find it hard to believe things will ever get better. Then I do read letters by Melody and you can make me smile. Maybe I need to go to Dunkin donuts and get a jelly donut

Ah!!! I made you smile??? Then I did my good deed for the day.

We just came back from Beth Israel Hospital. I'm going to put a post up on that.

Hon. try and think positive. Sometimes, good things DO happen?? And when they don't and you have sad moments, come here and find some smiling posts.

I sometimes think back 6 years when my husband's PN was so bad he was on the Fentanyl patch. And now he is drug free. Pain free?? No, not really, but it's much much better.

See, things CAN get better. Not all the time, and certainly not to EVERYBODY!!! But we come here, we share our success stories, and our not so success stories, and that's how we learn.

Hope you feel better.

Melody

P.S. I think a jelly donut is right up your alley.
