I've had pheripheal neuropathy in my feet and lower legs for about 12 years, all of a sudden this morning I awoke with pain in the back of my knee and thigh that almost feels like a neuralgia only it hurts more, Its a burning and its really sesitive to the touch, and growing worse as the day progresses. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm a non-insulin dependent diabetic with cad and some pad and heart disese. Thanks for any help-What is this??

I don't know, I'm not a doc, but I suggest you call yours, or go to the ER. Keep us posted, OK?

With that history of PAD, you could have a blood clot in a deep vein. You should get the pain checked out ASAP by a doctor.

Doesn't sound like typical PN. I think the others gave you good advice.
