Socks? O.O

What ARE those anyway? I forgot!

I have graduated to leg warmers (without socks).
That works better for me. Keeps the blood flowing, without the sensory
problems. I can get leg cramps if the calf gets too cold. So the leg warmers
are a good compromise.

Even when I was younger...even a child, I was sticking my feet out from under the covers. It has been a life-long thing for me. The PN came later.
Makes one wonder.

And I watch my son do this too. He cannot stand socks in bed (it can get cold on vacation without heat)...but he will go cold before putting on socks in bed.
I think he has a guarded future as well!

MRSD. . . I can think of nothing more troubling that thinking your child will follow, literally, in your "footsteps" with nerve issues of his very own! But I know the feeling. . . with my family history for colon cancer, and my ex's family history for stomach cancer. . . my daughter feels truly screwed! (Pardon my French.)

Pillows

Months ago I purchased a pillow that is made of dense foam. It's curved so that the sheets can be tucked in at the foot of the bed and then it is straight down one side so that there is a space for my feet with no cover touching them. Since I broke all the pelvic bones, it is necessary for me to sleep on my back and this pillow provides an air pocket with nothing touching those delicate toes. Problem is I can't remember where I bought it.

Sudden brainflash!!!

Just remembered: http://www.footsmart.com/P-Foot-Free...ach-30771.aspx I put a kingsized pillowcase on it and change it when I change my sheets.

That "foot" pillow is a great idea, and would work if I weren't so tall that my toes often hang off the end of the bed! And the bedroom really wouldn't likely accommodate a king sized bed and room to move about. . . . :(
