Default Cortisone/Epidural

Due to back trouble it was suggested to me by my orthopaedic that I consider facet injections which is basically cortisone/epidural into the spinal facets. i have never had this before, nor do I know anyone who has.

I am just wondering if this medication is contraindicated due to having PN? Has anyone had any experience with spine injections?

Thank you!!

I have had three epidural steroid injections over the years. The first in 2004 helped for a short while with the pain of my PN, the second did nothing. The third about 5 years later actually set me back pain wise for the next two years. it helps some people, doesnt help others like everything else.

I had a lot of back pain for years from scoliosis until I had a steroid injection--it was like a miracle and lasted 10 years. Then I went to a different doctor and he gave me a series of three steroid injections which aleviated the pain for quite a while too. But the most help for me was from a physical therapist who treated me after a knee replacement. He had me put a heel lift in one shoe to make my pelvis more level. Now I have a heel lift in every pair of shoes I wear.
