A pharmacist gave me a sample small bottle. It was too small to know if it could work. I did not see any improvement.

Hi Mrs. D.
Yes, I read all the threads by Marlene. Interesting information. melody |
Bringing this back up after seeing an ad in the recent AARP magazine.
Just wondering if anyone else had tried it? |
I once tried Naturopathy and I believe that I was ripped off big time,I originally had gone to see this lady for massage's,just for a bit of relief. Then after the 3rd or 4th time she says she's too busy to fit me in,but she would show Brian (DH) how to do it,but I would have to buy all these oils. One of them was Geranium Oil 10ml $50.00 another was Helichrysum Oil 5ml $35.00,not just oils but a bottle of Ning Xia Red (in English Juice) fruit drink concentrate 1 ltre $80.00 still have it (too expensive to open) In the end did it work,NO it was just another $300.00 down the drain...

Soothing cream
Hi - I've wanted to let people know about this product for a long time - just never got around to it. I've spent a lot of $ on junk - but this actually helps. At least it helps me. It is a cream made from Rosemary, lavender, mint, emu oil, willow bark, and moisturizing oils. It is from: www.buckscornerstore.com. There is a section under neuropathy treatments (I believe). The woman that makes it actually suffers from neuropathy. I use a little on my feet at night and it really has a soothing effect. It's not cheap but worth every ounce to me. I get a 2 oz. jar for $8.00. I usually order 3 at a time because the shipping is less expensive. I use to buy it on ebay but then got smart and went directly to their website and I save a little in shipping. I have been using this consistently for about 2 years now. I use it before bed. It really does help with the "barking" feet at night.
If you try it let me know what you think. Cheryl |
I bought some
I saw the same ad ran out and bought it, here is my take:
Geranium oil {perfume} is very very strong I only use it when I am alone. It's aroma therapy nothing more. It's a distraction to your conscious mind sometimes that's not a bad thing particuly when your alone. |

It works
I have no axe to grind and I would not attempt to persuade anyone to buy the expensive Neuragen. I bought it in desparation for neuropathy - tremendous foot pain which would not respond to any prescribed medical treatment. All I can say is, it really works.

I have tried this product (Neuragen PN) and have found it relieve my tingling toes and shooting pain. I have recommended it to my brother in New England who suffers from Diabetes neuropathy in his feet also.

Reply to discussions on Neuragen PN
Well folks, I can tell you that Neuragen has and does work for me! I have been using the oil for about 18 months. It is expensive but for some it can do wonders. I think that its effectiveness for any individual depends on your daily metabilism. In other words it works for me somedays better than others but it always works.
I developed PN after a bout with a serious bacterial intestinal disorder which landed me in the hospital for 20 days and I went into Systemic Shock., which means my body organs were shutting down. Out of that in evolved into nerve damage in the lower torso. Quite painful at times and always with me to some degree when standing or attempting to from a sitting position. Anyway, I saw the advertisement and I called Neuragen. (This was before CVS and Right Aid carried the product) I ordered the VERY small bottle and since it is a concentrate used very little on my fingertip and lightly rubbed in to the arae of pain. Within minutes I was no longer in pain ! In order to make the stuff last and in order to spread the oil over the entire lower torso, I mixed the oil with Johnson's Baby Cream. Johnson's Baby Bedtime lotion worked best for me. As I said earlier it works better some days than others but always works to some level. I would not do without it ! On days when the pain is extremely bad I may end up using this mixture that I spoke of about 4 -5 times a day. Additionally, I had received a promo email from CVS which had a place to correspond. I did so and told them of my experiences with the stuff and recommended that they carry it. They wrote b ack after about 10 days, thanked me and told me that they looked into it and decided not to carry the product. I then responded back to them that they would be doing a great service to their Diabetic and other nerve pain sufferers. They agin wrote back that they had agin looked at the product and had decided to carry it ! I am sure that I was not the only person who told them of the product and I guess Neuragen's Sales team probably had something to do with it. If you mix the stuff like I did it can last a considerable time and in fact Neuragen recommends this method if the pained area is large. Great stuff and I can't say enough about it. |
