Default Message for everyone

Will you all either come visit me or write me a card or come to the memorial?? I am just sure that I'll either be in the hospital, cemetary or flat on my back in bed for 6 months. Might be the best place to be. I couldn't kill my hubby that way. I honestly think he believes I am able to pack and move this household by myself. The man doesn't have a clue where I'm coming from.

Take warning all you young unmarried ladies, don't start out doing everything for him. The last time we moved, he was in Germany for 6 months. We started a new house before he left and I built it with the help and advice of a very honest contractor. I loved that old fellow. Husband came home one time in that period of time and rearranged where the airconditioner was to go. We already had the drain lines and air handler established in the garage. He put it in the attic. Took twice as long to do it. The builder told me "Billye, if you can keep him in Germany until we finish this house we'll have a really good house." Wonderful old man. He and his wife both worked in the business and they just adopted my son and I. He's retired now, or I'd look at building one to my specifications instead of making one work.

Seriously you were all (most of you) here when my sweet husband had to have back surgery. Asked for pain medicine one time. Even then it was because he thought he was supposed to. I asked him if he was in pain and he said "No, but it's been at least 4 hours" (actually had been 6) and he was in no pain. They took off the top half of two vertebrae and freed up 3 disc. I cannot imagine what kind of yelling I would have been doing. He's 74 years old and takes an infrequent Ibuprophen, a daily vitamin, B12, fish oil and that's it. Thank the Gods above for all of that.

Now if only God could take away this nagging leg, back and butt pain, oh forgot, neck and headache pain too. I'd only ask for it to be goine until after the move and the cleaning of the old house. And I've had to go back to sleeping in my toeless socks until the backs of my heels heal up. Guess I've been running in bed to get away from it all so the backs of my heels are bright red and painful. I slathered them in udder cream and covered them with socks. I don't wear shoes that cover my heels so it must be from rubbing them in the bed at night. I've had to sleep on my back since I broke all these things. Well I'm running out of room and must get my beauty sleep. HA HA

Thanks for all the good wishes. I will make it. Don't know in what condition. I'll stay in touch thanks to a awful lot of good people. I use my lap top every single day. I sit in the recliner and work away and while we were house shopping it was so very handy. I must have looked at 200 houses on line before we decided on three to physically see. It just saved me so much time. We've finally gotten the contract ironed out so it's all really going to happen.

Thanks for the words. I appreciate each and everyone.
Billye

Default Kudos

Billye,

I'm a bit late -but sending lots of strength for the move - I cant believe you got all this done so quickly - but as always you are so strong in spite of all the physical barriers you face too - I know you can do this too...! Just be good to your body - and let the guys do all the heavy stuff!!! (just be sure to use tape on anything holding loose beads or findings - can you imagine?)

Honestly, I have to move at end of next month - location not definite yet - but just the packing process I've found so exhausting - I do not know how you are doing this!!!!

In any case - let all those who you know help! Especially final packing and unpacking - feed them - and they'll be happy! (and by feed I mean pick up the phone and order food!)

I hope the new place is closer to town - the stores you love - I know you'll miss your studio but at least you were able to find the right new place for you - which is great....

Again, sending strong healthy thoughts and a "take it easy girl!"
