Hello alejandro saleh, and welcome to NeuroTalk.
I'm not sure if you realise or not that you've posted to an old 2008 thread, and although there's nothing wrong in doing so, some of the original posters may no longer be with us which means you may not receive the answers that you seek. May I suggest you start your own new thread, asking the questions you wish to ask, or detailing the information you wish to impart. |
I take ambien 10 mg at night to help me sleep. It usually works but there are times when I will have to take an additional 5 mg to drift off. It seems like it used to work better...

Hi roxie, I am glad your recent proceedure went well, and that you have no more bad cells. You have had to go through alot of different proceedures. I have the vein problem too, and fear all the sticks too.sorry:(I do take seriquel but 50 mg. This has helped me to sleep. ginnie

Mere, I've been taking Ambien CR 12.5 mg for over about 16 monts, and found that it not only helps with sleep, but takes my PN pain from an 8 to <1. I seem to be the only one I've heard of who has this effect. But unfortunately, it doesn't seem as effective as it was. Worked like a charm for all of that time, but in the last few weeks, not so much.
The only difference that I can figure is that I've started adding Gabapentin 300 mg to Amitriptyline 50 mg. But it seems like the pain goes away after I take those two, but wears off by morning. I wonder if I should ask my neuro to try that combo twice a day. Finding the right combo of meds for this condition is such a frustrating trial and error process, isn't it? |
Thanks JoanB, I will ask to try it next time I get a script... I believe I remember a post where you mentioned that Ambien did help your pain. When I have bad flares of dysautonomia, it seems to help me as well. I hear you about the frustration factor. Just when you think something works...
