I've been updating some of my lab charts for myself, as I now have a stack of lab reports I've taken from my doctor's offices when I leave appointments. I thought I'd post links to them, uploaded onto the lizajane website, for people to see how useful they can be.
Lately, I've been having a lot of endocrine tests. I was on a steroid nasal spray which is an old-fashioned absorbable one for a couple of months, and this suppressed my pituitary/adrenals. The doctors began following my endocrine status more often. It began to seem that everytime I saw a doctor, they ordered a CBC, complete blood count. Also, they ordered a lipid profile, which nobody seems to pay too much attention to. The result pages just pile up. So I've begun to organize them, partly because I'm a litttle obsessive that way, and partly because it's not clear what direction tests are headed. Also, I need liver functions every month, and I haven't organized them, but I will at some point, to see if there's a trend, even befoe an abnormality. So, here are links, just to see what you all can do, to help keep your doctors on top of things. http://www.summereyes.com/pn/Users/l...hemistries.xls http://www.summereyes.com/pn/Users/LizaJane/LizaJane's Thyroids.xls (thyroids) http://www.summereyes.com/pn/Users/l...%20Profile.XLS lipids If you check these out, it becomes obvious that it's easier to have a discussion about how you are doing, and whether things are getting better or not. Like, obviously, my cholesterol is not improving, and that needs to be addressed. I've also used this to post results of xrays and mris, so when I see doctors and they don't have things available, rather than wait for other doctors to send them reports, I can get them to just pull up the link. There are none up just now, but in the past, this has been helpful. Hope this spurs some of you to keep track..... Hi LizaJane,
I am very impressed if you can get doctors to pull up links... I can almost never get professionals to pull up links. You mean you actually get them to pull up links?
