Arrow This is what the vet said about Sheba....

Sheba has lost 3 lbs since last visit...over a 4 yr period.
We passed on the rabies vaccine. This cat is not catching any wild bats or other animals. She mostly is indoors now, or just off the porch area outside.

Her heart was not too great. A murmur and very fast (some of the high rate was anxiety I think)

But from a 1-6 rating the vet said she was a 4-- not good.
She seemed a little dehydrated and I don't understand that because we see her drink. And of course we had the ana[ gland thing done...the vet was not thrilled with that!

So we will take her with us...and hope for the best. She usually sleeps in the car, okay.

The vet suggested labs when we get back. We'll be doing that.

By the way you are so sweet to offer your help always even when you are on vacation.I was telling my mom about you and how you are better then all the docs I have seen in knowledge and care.Wish I could bring you to my apt tomorrow. Anyhow have fun

We just got back from 5 days away and I'm exhausted today! I guess my health issues don't lend themselves to being on the go.
Perhaps a longer one is much better...but the preparation and re-entry has got to be very DIFFICULT!
I do hope you can post now and again somehow.
You will be missed in a major way! (Sniff, sniff!)
Wishing you a wonderful , relaxing and fun time!!!!
p.s. Special hugs for kitty.

Red face after waiting at the vet's for eons...

I had to get a haircut...short for convenience washing etc up there.

Then I had to get my thyroid refilled...it was early but by some miracle the insurance let it go thru without a telephone override.

But the work crews have returned, and we had to move our cars...mega inconvenient with the trip and loading.
The 3 homes past us on the street did not get "done" properly and they are digging them up AGAIN.... the noise... the inconvenience...I can't stand this --- it has been 2 months of this!!!! At least they are not touching my property anymore...but it is upsetting and upsetting the cats too.

Well tomorrow is another day. <shrugs>

Default Ohhh Nooo...

You will be so very missed. But with all the noise, etc. it sounds as if you need to get away. I am just amazed at all the work you can do. Lifting stones...makes me faint to think of it.

The fainting is another issue. Be sure you keep the cell phone charged even while traveling. And please do check in with us from time to time to let us know the bears and coons haven't carried you off.

I know it's a lovely place because I have seen some of your pictures and I know how good it is for you. Please take care of yourself. There are a lot of people who love you here.

Billye

Oh, I had forgotten about all of the wonderful pictures. I know I am not alone in saying we would love to see more from this year's trip.

Hope your kitties do well and your street crews are FINALLY finished when you get back... With 2 months of having to listen to that racket and all the inconvenience, they city should be paying for your vacations!!!

We will miss you very much!

Take care,
Cathie

Ooo well Weather.com is showing

40% chance of afternoon rain on Sat. Sundays are problematic since the marina closes at 3pm...and we like them to be open when we arrive. So now my husband is talking, Monday.

In the old days, we only traveled on weekdays, because we drive older cars and if something breaks, there are no repair shops open up North on weekends!

But with our newer Toyota vans, breakdowns just are not happening anymore, so we have started going on weekends.

We just cannot arrive in the rain...too much loading of the boat and carrying stuff over and trying to open the shutters etc --it is just not good, and infact slippery and hazardous!

So we are in "hold" mode for now. Perhaps the forecast will change by tomorrow. I am packing still as if Sat is our target.

LOL... Billye...I didn't lift many stones...neither of us did ...
(we used to in the past).

My son came over for a day, both to remove the large ones in the beginning and put to them back 8 wks later. He was a big help! The other stones my husband used a wheelbarrow to move around. I did carry the flagstones and help position those--they weren't large. My biggest problem now is bending alot. I can only do that for an hour, and I am goners. I did alot of sitting in a chair and supervising however! LOL I am sort of the "creative" consultant now.

My husband has good knees and can even kneel on them, so he does not bend. I have a nice cushion for him too.

Wink not leaving til Monday...

There are big storms forecast for upNorth thru Sat. Sat was updated to 70% chance of rain.

So I'll be here for 2 more days.

Besides Hubby is having his usual travel anxiety...so he feels better with a little delay.
