Default Swelling

I am swelling in my hands and wrists, feet and ankles. This is new since the neuropathy. Is this due to the neuropathy or maybe the meds I am on (enurotin, tramadol and amitripylen)?

Signed, Puffy

It could be from the medicine you are taking or it could be from the PN. I get swelling and have been getting it long before i took any medicine. Mine is in my feet and ankles.

Hi:

My husband has neuropathy in his both feet and one hand.

He has swelling and fluid in his feet and ankles.

He is on Lasix and another fluid pill and it hasn't made much difference. Some days his feet and ankles are smaller but for the most part they still are very big.

Thanks
Nancy

Could be meds or you could use water pills. Also any swelling in legs or feet,
get them propped up above the heart in lazy boy chair or stacked pllows in bed. Could just be PN,but if you see swelling with what looks like water blisters please call Dr. to check. Hugs to all Sue

Default Think about it?

You likely aren't moving about as much as 'before'. It's an issue we all have to wrestle with!
Here is a site of 'exercises' that covers the whole body...pick what you need and most of this is stuff you can do at home.
http://www.fairview.org/healthlibrar.../sma_index.htm
If you have gone thru PT before, I'll bet that lots of these are familiar. It's surprising how much good a small set of theraband exercises [you can do in your chair] can help stimulate the circulation at swelling spots. Did for me!
You can find therabands at all the 'Marts and Targets of the world. Abt $10 for 3 different resistances [I use the wimpy one myself-it's all I need]/
Hope this helps - j
