Have a quick question.
How do you know if an ulcer has come back? There must be some obvious signs like bleeding, etc. (this I know). But I'm talking initially. He's been nice and healed for a few weeks now. he went to the podiatrist and he did some work on his feet and said "wow, looks great, it's all healed". Alan has been wearing his custom molded shoes since the boot came off. BUT, around the house he wears the memory foam slippers. Just to walk around the house. I happened to ask him a few minutes ago, "how is your ulcer?" and he said "well, it feels perfectly fine, but there's a mark there". I looked at his foot and sure enough there's a little line right in the middle where the ulcer used to be. I said "you are not taking any more chances, you will not wear the slippers, you will ONLY wear the custom molded shoes except when you are in bed". I just want to know if there is a way to tell when an ulcer has returned. There is no redness, no soreness, no bleeding, (just a tiny line). Any and all comments are welcome. We don't want to return to that ulcer place any more, believe it. Thanks much
