Default Yes, I've been drawing a blank screen at that url--

--for approximately 18 hours as of this post. (I have the computer check automatically on a periodic basis.)

Let's hope it means something is being worked on.

I get a valid address and a blank screen. Let's hope that Glenn is correct. Then, we'll have to work with John Lester to make Braintalk more secure, more robust, and more independent.

I just found this today by searching google for "B12" "rose" and "braintalk". I saw the braintalk2 and did some investigation and voila! Here I am. I only hope that the others who were on the old forum will be so lucky.

I can only assume that John Lester is working very very hard. But I wish he could at least put an updated information message at http://www.braintalk.org/index.html Would go a long way for those of us who are just getting a blank screen and wonder if we should keep trying to access.

I do web stuff and it should only take him half a minute to put a text message up. I wonder if there is more to this problem than meets the eye. I am SOOOO thankful to docJohn for putting up this temporary forum (if that is what it is). Helps relieve a lot of lonely feelings I was getting when I just saw the blank screen.

I'm mainly a lurker but for anyone who isn't aware, just reading what others post, good news as well as bad, goes a long long way toward helping to keep despair "at bay". Being "abandoned" by a forum that you regularly visit can "do a number" on you. I never realized. Thanks to everyone who posts.

And thanks to John Lester who must really be struggling since I know administering this forum isn't his "day job". Keep at it and we are waiting for you, John. Just needed this temporary forum to keep us from going totally crazy.

Default I'd noticed you missing...

It's been kind of hard to get 'word' out at some sites as they restrict references to other sites. I, myself, am getting pretty creative in getting around this aspect.

DocJohn's been a hero, and I believe Bobbi Wittesea, Zombie Slayer and lots others have really worked hard to get the categories and stickies set up. Lots others as well, it's been hard to keep track with some using alternative 'names'. Been hard to keep some folks sorted out, you know?

I've no doubt the BT board & JL have gotten enuf 'input' from everyone here on these boards to go on. I'd posted early on in the start of this incarnation that I'd seen notations on other boards about complete failures...all of whom/which appeared to take ages to fix, let alone try and retrieve anything from past postings. Something to be said for consistent, diligent back-up files!

For the meantime, HOW ARE ya doing???? Best always - j

IF I were in JL's place, I'd probabaly ignore the boards/hoards of 'e's' and just work on getting things fixed!

TG...Does this mean some should 'highlight' you as a potential 'volunteer'? So many of us have somethings we can contribute aside from or in addition to dollars...I just wish we were ASKED! I know if it's doable in any way, I would be committed.
