Default Pain Clinics/Drs

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about how to find a good pain dr? I think I need a new one (one who won't try to blackmail me into doing steroid injections) and besides asking my other dr's for referrals I am wondering if any of you have any suggestions?

Default How to find a good doctor

Hi,

First I am so sorry you are having problems with you doctor.

In the past I found the best doctors, especially pain doctors, can be found at the large teaching hospitals. I noticed you lived in MA, I here Mass General in a great facility maybe try there.

Hope this helps, Good luck.

Mass. General has a good neuro dept.
Johns Hopkins, Cornell-Weill, The Jack Miller Center,
Mayo Clinic.

Call the neuro dept and ask for an appt. You can usually
get one w/o a referral. If you need one for HMO, ask any doc
other than Mr. Steroid shot.
