Some quick
points:
The diagnostic tests your neuro did simply showed it's less likely you have LARGE fiber neuropathy. Nothing he did is designed to indicate small fiber neuropathy. There are autonomic tests for small fiber neuropathy. I've had them. But the heart and BP sx you describe are also completely explainable by anxiety. Did you ask your podiatrist whether you had metatarsalgia? |
Hi Steve:
Thanks for your thoughts. I'm hopng it's just anxiety. as far as the "metatarsalgia", my foot hurts on the top of the foot, not the bottom. I actually saw the podiatrist before the crampy pain started on the top of my foot so I will be ging back to see if he has any ideas. Thanks again! |
After your foot is checked out
by the podiatrist, if he finds nothing, there may be something else to explore. You may have trigger points in the interosseus muscles between the metatarsal bones on the top side of your foot. Pressure and massage with your thumbs would break these up if you have them.
