Default Balance problem

I have recently been in the hospital. When the nurses squezzed my swollen legs or feet it was very painful. I can feel the accelerator and brake so can drive. Can anyone explain my extreme balance problem since I thought lack of balance was caused from numbness. I am apparently not numb.

Any input will be appreciated.

Default Balance problems can be caused by many things--

--not just numbness in the extremities causing a loss of bodily feedback.

It can also come from problems in the sinuses, especially conditons that affect the semicircular canals/vestibular system in the inner ear; problems in the cerebellum, the brain area that coordinates muscle movements, adn many other possibilities . . .

It's certainly possible that balance problems are resulting from conditons other than peripheral nerve damage, and some very thorough examination and testing might be needed to tease out what's contributing to it.
