Last year when I was trying to figure out what the heck was wrong with me I went to see a foot and ankle specialist......he said it was probably SFN which is the first I'd heard of that......I had only been to him 2 times when I called and asked if he would do a skin punch biopsy.....he scheduled it for the next week. I had the biopsy on my ankle only......no A & C fibers left in my feet. Confirmed dx of severe small fiber neuropathy. Not sure this will help but just wanted to put it out there for you.
