So, so far, the lyrica is terrific.

.............Do you know if there is a way to get lyrica at a generic price, or if not, is there a way that one can get patient assistance through them.
Mel,
Lyrica is not available as a generic. They'll (Pfizer) prolly wait until the patent runs out just like Neurontin (gabapentin) before that happens (7 yrs?).
I don't know if they have a Rx assitance plan- you'll hjave to do some research.
Yes, Lyrica works for me like Alan says. It is the best I've felt in over 6 yrs.
I hope it continues, cuz I'm at the max on it (600mgs/day) and the max on Tramadol (400mgs/day).
If not...........well, it'll be a lot of pain and trial and error again.
Happy Holidays

Thanks Bob:
I really do appreciate all your helpful information.

Oh, when we were getting ready to go to sleep last night, Alan turned to me and said "you know, your buddies on the neuropathy board are really something, we're lucky to have them".

maybe someday, he'll get his own user ID, maybe something like "Rocky", and maybe he'll come and post once in a while. Message boards have never been his thing but times are a changin, aren't they?

be well
Melody

Hi Melody,

Thank you for the article on the stents. I must say, it has me worried. I had a heart attack two years ago at Thanksgiving and had to have a stent put in. My heart doctor put me on Plavix for six months and then took me off. I have heart disease and congestive heart failure, so guess it's just one more thing to worry about, besides all my other health problems. I never dreamed at 52, I would feel like 90.
One step forward, two steps back.
Take care,
Linda

P.S. Sorry Alan couldn't take neurontin. It sure has been a God send to me. I am on 3200 mg. a day and it helps me so much.

Boopers:

Do what I did and call the company that makes the stent. The reassured me completely and they are even sending me literature on it.
