Are you talking about the Cornell Program? mel |
Mel,
Yep. I think you have posted about it, but I didn't see a thread with that subject in the first few pages of the board. rfinney |
I really didn't think anyone would want me to post about my experiences at Cornell on a separate thread. Because this is the neuropathy board (and yeah, I do have the beginning of neuropathy), I really didn't think it would be appropriate for me to do a separate thread or update about me at cornell.
If you think I should, please say yes and I'll be happy to do an update. be well. Melody P.S. oh by the way, I was organizing my favorite places (I have Verizon DSL and internet explorer. And my favorite places used to pop up on the left side of my screen whenever I logged on. they are not there any more. I have to go up to the top of my toolbar and click on favorites. ANYBODY KNOW HOW I CAN GET MY FAVORITES BACK ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY SCREEN WHEN I GO ONLINE? THANKS. mel |

Clicking on the yellow "favorites" star will open your favorites folder on the left hand side of your internet explorer window. Hope that helps, Liz |
Oh my god, I feel like such a stupid jerk.
This is not the first time I lost my favorites on the screen. You would think I WOULD HAVE REMEMBERED THE YELLOW STAR THING!!!! BUT NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Just did it. It worked. Thank you, thank you. Melody |
Melody,
No reason to feel stupid. My husband is an IT tech, he is a computer nerd - and because we have been together for so long I have absorbed a lot of the information. Plus, everytime he fixes a computer for someone in his family or my family, he can't explain the problem in English, he speaks in "computer nerd" language, so I end up being the one to explain the problem in English. Anyway, I know all this computer stuff, I have been around it, seen it, done it, helped him with countless things... And when I saw your question about the favorites being on the left side I forgot how to do it. I called him at work to ask him - and he couldn't remember either!! Then after a few minutes he remembered it and reminded me about the yellow star thing - and I felt like hitting myself in the forehead and saying "duh" because it was staring me in the face the whole time -- and we both laughed because we both couldn't find it or remember it :) So, no one is allowed to feel stupid or forgetful today because even the IT tech couldn't remember the yellow star thing and had to think about it for a few minutes :D |
Liz.
I wish I could take you and gift wrap you and put YOU in my favorite place. Do you realize how valuable you are? A computer person WHO CAN SPEAK REAL ENGLISH. Thanks much. Melody |
just checking . . .
Mel,
Were you able to access all of your email on Verizon? rfinney |
yes indeedy!!!! I found that whatever outlook express did not come up with (there is no spam folder in my outlook express thing), I simply went to Verizon online, typed in my password AND THERE WAS MY MISSING E-MAIL FROM THE BANK!!!
Gotta love technology. thanks much. Mel |
Mel,
Glad to hear you found your email. I periodically check my provider's online site to see what email they have decided is spam and thus has not been marked for retrieval by my email client (the software program on my computer that handles email - OE is your client). BTW, you should be able to move any such Verizon email from the spam folder (or whatever name Verizon uses) to your Verizon inbox. Then, OE will download it from Verizon and it will be available in OE for all normal email functions. rfinney |
