Hi all.

I was watching Unsolved Mysteries and this woman had MS and her feet were completely numb (like many people with PN). I watched as she received Bee Venom Therapy. She had to get stung around 500 times before she felt the first sting. But it finally worked. I had never heard of this so I googled Bee Venom Therapy for Neuropathy and all I could find was that Naturopaths do this. I am still trying to find someone in Brooklyn NY so I can ask all my questions. Probably a moot point because I approached with the suggestion and he looked at me like I have lost my mind.

He said "get away from me with any bees". Can't really blame him.

He lost Access a ride so we can't go to our monthly PN support group meetings anymore. After using Access a ride for almost 10 years, his membership expired and he was re-evaluated and he brought doctors notes and used his walker (as he always does) and they ultimately found that he has good gait and balance. He showed them his foot ulcer and the lady said "oh that doesn't look too bad". He then told them that he had been diagnosed with Neuropathy and that his doctor had diagnosed him and the lady said "your doctor? What does he know?"

We told the doctor who was very angry. We had to appeal and they don't provide transportation so we have to do it in writing. We contacted a lawyer who does this kind of help and she mailed us EXACTLY what the doctor has to write in a note. So we got two notes, one from his primary, and one from his podiatrist (who thinks Access a ride is out of their mind), because Alan is going into the hospital for a dermagraft on his right foot ulcer and will be in a wheelchair after that until it heals.

So we have mailed in all the paperwork and now we wait.

But I did want to run this bee venom therapy by you. Anyone hear or try this yet?

Imagine. Being stung by bees and it gives you back feeling.
