Default About nervous system research?

This article is provocative but requires a little bit of patience to read.
Philosophies change, guess this is one of them?

"It is now clear that the basic mechanism for how neurofilaments affect axonal diameters remains unanswered," Garcia said. "This discovery introduces a lot of new questions."

Gee, just what we need.
Another discovery that does nothing except destroy previous concepts,
and leave us
still in the dark.

Default I'm looking at it from a different....

perspective.. As in: Eggs aren't good for you/Oh! THey are good! Olive oil will Kill you/NO! It's good for you! and on on and on.....NOT CHOCOLATE!-NOOOOO!
I am sure that this will be examined and then examined more - and then the 'revised' premises will be far more seriously reinforced to get the docs, who, were trained prior to 'new' thoughts to come up to par. OR we, the patients will only go to docs who are UP TO PAR!
Medically, in a small circle of professionals? It's likely a hot button topic about now. IF they have time?
Honestly, WE know what's going on! We've studied it in depth as much as non-medico's can comprehend and WE should have some say in how we 'feel' the 'what's going on' IS going on!

As Jimmy Buffet says about 'changes in attitudes and changes in latitudes' is apt about know. We as patients must use our self-preservation antennae to see if current treatment is changing due to such 'research'.

I think that we who suffer are being denied the research needed. Every clinical trial I can find is for diabetic neuropathy. Doesnt anyone want to figure out what is causing the debilitating pain for the idiopathic?

Idiopathic means they can't find a cause.
If they can't find the cause they won't address the
unknown origin of a pain. Gotta find out why before they'll bother.
Bummer, but 'Nature of the Beast'.

I dont know if this interests anyone as another angle on what might be influencing or causing some of our neuropathy - given its an almost unkown or ignored area of the body , but perhaps there is a connection ?

http://www.fasciacongress.org/2007/about.htm

I have long history myself of problems that fall into this category and also coincide , as I previosuly mentioned , with these neurological problems that I first started noticing some 18 yrs ago.

Its questionable whether the neuropathy I have now is specifically related ( hence the need for research ) but I do know from experince that my muscoskeletal problems ( though probably a severe case ) certainly have infleuenced and many times seemingly altered my Neuropathy ( both bad and good )
