Hi Brian,

I don't envy you at all. Right now, we are having forty something degrees weather, so it's much nicer here. Although, this summer was very hot.
I, too, have problems with the bottoms of my feet burning. I can't wear socks either, even in this weather.
Wishing a cool down your way,
Linda

Thank you Linda, We are getting really weird weather lately, we got 2 really hot stinkies Sat & Sun and very strong winds, but Mon was in the low 2o's and again today, we got a little rain which helped the fire fighters a bit with the bush fires, but there are still some really big ones still raging, we have even got some New Zealand firemen over here helping our guys, and there is going to be a couple more really hot days coming in a couple more days.

Default Hot weather!!

Brian I am absolutely dreading this summer. I have become so water conscience that I feel guilty about watering my lawn. We are running out of water here in sydney too, and nobody is doing anything about it. It's only a matter of time before we have no water at all.

I have trained myself to use the bare minimum water to wash dishes and clean house etc. When I see someone watering there lawn without a care in the world, I get a bit cranky.

I mean my lawn looks dry and parched, but I need to do my bit, to cut back on what I consume. But our poor NSW farmers are desperate for water, loosing their businesses and livelihoods, and bushfires are very close behind.

Someone needs to figure out a solution quick.

Hi Brian and Aussie,

Wow, so sorry you guys are having the heat and no rain. That is scary when fires start and comes close to where people live. I do hope you both will be OK.
Maybe if you did the raindance?
Seriously, though, I hope for a cool down for you there and rain to put out the fires!
Take care,
Linda

Yeah Aussie, i know it pretty bad in New South Wales too, what stage water restrictions are you on ?, i think Melbourne is on stage 3, we are on stage 4 and we have much more water than Melbourne has.
I really do feel for the farmers too, some taking a gamble and sowing their seeds in a desperate hope of rain coming eventually, and some even have got that depressed they are committing suicide, and so many having to sell their for fathers family farms is real sad.
In the morning i will be hooking up to divert Bathroom and laundry waste water to go out to the garden, luckily we have lots of roses which are pretty hardy, we have been putting plastic containers in the sinks so we can use that water outside too, if everyone does the right thing we should be okay i hope.

It is scary alright Linda, for those that live in amongst the bush & forests, so many have lost their homes, I am surrounded by vineyards so we are ok here but the smoke from the fires is all over the place , not to good for asthmatics and other people with respiratory problems, one volunteer firefighter lost his life yesterday, trying to fight a fire when he was accidentally run over by one of the fire trucks in a fire that some brainless lunatic lit themselves
Thankyou for your hopefull wishes.
Brian

Default More good news form Neuro visit

That i may as well throw in this thread, i seen my neuro yesterday for my yearly visit, he done the normal neuro testing for my feet, i felt the pin pricks in every place he tested they all felt sharp, i felt the vibration as well, felt the cold feeling every where he tested too.
He said that you must have been doing all the right things for a result like this,
and then went on to say that small nerves will not heal if there in the wrong invironment, then said keep up the good work and there isn't any reason to see me next year but would like to check me out again in two years time, that sounds good to me.

Default Brian THAT IS SUPER!

That the doc is essentially saying....don't change that 'PROGRAM' is totally Superior!

As for fires, on the east coast of the US that's not usually the issue. More likely suprise blizzards [as in more all at once or plain old too much], super heavy rains in short periods [including hurricanes], or the extremes of too hot/cold for too long a time.

I believe there are some folks around here that can speak to fire issues in the Mid-west and Pacific Coast areas, and other on 'earthquakes'.

For you tho - I'm wishing safe conditions and passage.... - j

Default Stage 3 water restrictions.

But it's been like this for years. Only legally allowed to water lawn Tuesdays and Sundays before 10 am,and after 4 pm.

But what is that solving? I mean we won't have water to drink or bathe very soon. They keep on showing us the damn which holds our water supply for the whole of Sydney and it looks almost empty. Very scary!
