Shoes in general are so hard for me. I have had the same style nike walking in increasing sizes as my feet keeping growin. I wear shoes every minute I am up. Even when I go to the bathroom at night. I need to find a new kind. My mom was reading Merrel is a good brand for foot problems but I have a friend who also likes New Balance. My new best find is diabetic socks. They are super thin and are loose around the ankle. Before this I could of opened a sock shop with all I tried. Even plus womens were too tight on my ankles and I am a thin person. I suggest the med ped brand of socks highly.

The best sneakers I have ever owned are the Asics... I think mine are the Fortitude ? Anyway they have gel cushioning so it is wicked comfortable.

I tried a pair of these but didn't have near the room in the arch area because of my orthodics and high arches/ :(

:( I know I have an orthdic too... I had to take the insole that was already in the shoe out to use it... and then it worked fine... but my feet were so sensitive that I decided I'd rather deal with the slight pain in my legs/hip/back and not use the orthodic and use the inserts that came with the shoes instead. (I needed softness more than anything. And I admit it- I have a flat foot- so the art thing it a mystery to me, however i have a very thick foot, so it takes up a lot more room than is expected in shoes.

Softness is most important to me as well. I have orthodics the POD made me but they are to stiff and cause me much pain. I finally found these after trying all kinds. The process took years.

They are really soft but only last about six months.

Interesting... these might be good... also they look short... if so they might fit in the Asics under the innersole already in the shoe... my old orthodics were short (and HARD) and fit under w/o much problem... luckily the laces are long so the top of the shoe can be expanded a good bit (your foot can ride higher in the shoe w/o too much problem.)
