Question Savella ??

Supposed to be new anti-depressant here in US.
Been around in Europe or UK for a while, supposedly.
Any info on it?

This is what I found. It is used to treat fibromyalgia. Here is a site:

I've read about it but haven't seen any personal feedback yet. It's been approved by the FDA for fibromyalgia.

**Sorry, the forum won't let me post links. Google Savella and you can read about it's approval by FDA and it's "official" dubyadubyadubya savella dotcom

Check over at the Fibro forum...

From what I have been reading..the side effects are considerable.
So far I am not seeing any glowing testimonials.

It has more potential for raising blood pressure, too.

I was put on this drug about 6 weeks ago, knew doc said it was only on the market here in the states 2 weeks. Sorry to say I cannot report anything. After 5 days I gave it up, system just would not get along with it. I have a pretty sensitive sytem tho, it does not get along with a lot of drugs. Even taking for 5 days I felt no comfort.

I have been taking the starter pack for the Savella now for 2 weeks. The only complaint I have is extra fatigue that occurs about 5hrs after each dose.I have tried Lyrica which in high doses is successful that is if you dont mind being swollen like an individual past due for their dialysis.Cymbalta never did anyhting but make my heart race. The Savella I do believe is helping because I am not feeling the weather like I normaly do and my arthritis or whatever it is in my hip has been behaving itself alot better.God I do hope this is help for those who are suffering. It would be nice to have something work besides those narcotics. If you can it is worth a shot, it has helped my symptoms Iwould say by about 35-40% and I dont think it is just coincidence.
