Default what do you think is wrong with me?

I get these weird ticklish sensations in my muscles... hands, arms back and back of head and my hands twitch daily (mostly thumb) I'm so frustrated.

Welcome, chokato!

Have you been diagnosed with PN? What does your neuro say? Our bodies can sure amaze and frustrate us.

Good luck and best wishes in finding some answers.

Hi!

Not yet no diagnoses yet. I am schedule for an emg in a week. I was just wondering if it sounded like PN could cause this or something else? Like circulation? I don[t get numb but I have ticklish feeling like not enough oxygen getting to my muscles.

Hi. I know how hard it is to stay in the moment but I would try to wait till after your testing. There is such a range of what it could be and hopefully it is something that is easy to treat. Keep us updated

Muscle twitching is termed fasciculations. You neuro can review all the ins and outs. Themore serious diagnoses do not have sensation components. The less serious but still bothersome may require a spinal tap if the NCV/EMG is not conclusive. And don't forget to mention to your neuro if you have skin changes, dry mouth, joint and muscle aches, etc.

When you say:
"And don't forget to mention to your neuro if you have skin changes, dry mouth, joint and muscle aches, etc" - do you mean either the possibility of Scleroderma, Sjogren's, SLE or one of the granulomatous conditions or something else entirely?

I'm not her but I often think that if you have other symptoms like dry mouth or aches they can make connections or also identify the why behind this. I know through my trying to find out what caused all my problems they kept saying if they could find that it will help because you can treat that and the pain and overall is a lot better. Like for ex people who have low b12 they they treat that and it assists in everything. Sorry if I am off base. On a side note I have skin changes, aches, and dry mouth and have had every auto immune etc test repeat and don't have it so it is not always
