Wow though I wish it went smoother you are amazing. I would be too scared due to all my health crud to do that. You are an inspiration. I do travel out of state and even that is stressful and painful.

Marty,
Standing is difficult too! that's when the squeezing and burning feelings take over.
But the walking is what just wears me out.
Legs go to cement, feet feel like they're swollen to 3-4 times the size
(but they aren't).
And my cigarette smoking makes me short of breath,
as well as the Lyrica seems to, too.
At JFK in NY, a Delta attendant in the airport took one look at me
& was insistent that I wait for a wheelchair, but we would miss the
connecting flight if we didn't keep moving - fast!
My son just picked up my bags (as well as his own) and helped me
by lightening the load.
I was behind, but not too far.
Of course, everything was on an uphill angle (all the escalators & moving sidewalks we encountered were not working), & that didn't help matters, either. Couldn't even take a minute to go to the bathroom before we boarded. Boarding pass check-in wouldn't let me. We were rushed thru to the tarmac (climb more stairs to get on the plane) to the commuter flight home. If we'd missed it, it would have been a 6-1/2 hr layover til the next flight- & we'd been traveling for almost 12 hrs, as it was.
Well, back to the daily grind......and editing photos.
I was winded, red faced, short of breath, and my legs & feet hurt even tho we had been sitting on the intercontinental flight for almost 8 hrs.

It doesn't matter how much I rest, the act of moving so fast just wears me out.

Thanks to everyone who replied & I hope you like the photos.
Maybe I'll put a few more up, after I've gone thru them more carefully. Fortunately, I'm rested now, tho at work - jet lag has been compensated for, & now I can sit down & go over all those photos carefully & edit them at my leisure.

I put a few more Ireland photos on my album,
(including one of bald, 'ole ... me)
if anyone is interested.
I found that if you just hover your cursor over the photo,
my caption comes up, in a small box.

I see you there leaning to take some weight off your feet. I would of been interested in seeing your feet/shoes. I look pretty silly in my big bulky untide shoes. LOL I see the pain on your face for sure. Looks like mine after some time walking on the hot blacktop.

Looks like was a beautiful trip.

I wore Dr Scholl's, Macau (Velcro) Walkers, with replacement full gel innersoles & foam cushion innersoles on top of that... the whole trip.
Planes, busses, cabs, walking - you name it.
They were great (and look just like New Balance 574 Velcro Walkers)
But I had to smuggle them on to the plane. Actually they passed thru the watching machine when they made me take my shoes off & put them in the tray. I had 2 more pair in my checked baggage and extra foam ones in my carry-on ....just in case.
But it wasn't necessary, they went thru-even tho the Delta Flight baggage and carry-on regs say you can't have them.
(so did my butane lighters in my fanny-pack, too!)
