Thumbs up

Oh, she is just lovely! Such nice markings!

Oreo was pretty sedate and slept alot from her shots. She also came from a busy home with kids, and other cats, and was depressed when we had her at first. She used to wander around calling for her littermates. But she perked up after about 2 weeks. She was larger than your kitten. (about 12weeks old).

You'll have lots of fun with this, one, I predict!

Thanks for the pictures...I love looking at them!

Did she get any of her shots at the vet visit? They can sometimes cause them to sleep alot. I remember when we took Tigger to the vet to be checked out he slept all day after we got home.

I hope Rocky likes his new friend. Give him a few days to get used to the idea. After a while they'll be inseparable.
.
No shots yet Kelly. She's still too young. I have to take her back at 8 weeks old to get them, and to get her second worming dose. They told me that there's a half price spaying/neutering in February too. The regular price is $295 for laser surgery. They're pretty expensive compared to the one my sister goes to out in the sticks.

Well she's been very active since that initial nap.
.
When I got up this morning, Rocky was giving me my morning bath and I could here her mewing in DS's room, it's just a tiny squeak. I'm sure Rocky heard that during the night.

She slept with DS though he kept putting her down, afraid he'd roll over on her. Also, she'd start clawing him with her tiny pincushions and it woke him up several times. She should keep Rocky busy once they get acquainted.

Wink

oh, she is soooo little! Very cute, adorable.

I'll have to check here each day for my "kitten fix"...LOL

She looks happy and healthy. Maybe she will not be a typical tortie? She has some calico in her. And they are usually mellow.

My son's cat is all dark.
This is a link to his most recent picture.

.
We gave him that cat shelf for his new home. The tortie is on the right...she is certainly no longer "microkittie" LOL.
The tabby is the cat that adopted him last Nov...ran in the door as he exited to the dumpster. So he kept her. She was very thin, but otherwise healthy. She is very smart too. She goes nuts if they bring home any fried chicken, or french fries from a fast food place. He keeps the trash in a locked cabinet! I guess she lived on garbage for a while before choosing his place to crash. (We think she saw the other cats thru the window, and decided it was a good place to get help).

Thanks for the videos... they were FUN!

Wink goofy tortie:

I found a pic on my son's Flickr....

This one sort of sums up the Tortie psyche? It begs a caption!

Your kitties and your son's are just adorable MrsD.
.
Where'd you get that kitty seat? Is it hanging over the top of a door?

Lightbulb

It was a gift from a friend, that we never used. It was supposed to hang on a narrow radiator, and we never figured out how to use it.

I gave it to my son, and he figured out some compromise.

I found some other types similar when I looked for hardware to convert his (without success).

Here are some links...not expensive at all:

.

(this one doesn't look too stable)

This is nicer:

It would be nice to have a high spot she could retreat to away from the other cat. We have 3 cat trees, that I have purchased
over the years.

I did some looking around after I went to Amazon and I think something like this would be better since I have a few surfaces near windows where I could put it. Rocky likes to sit on things that are warm so this might be a good choice. Eventually he might let the kitten join him on it too.
