Cool, a raptor cam! I can hardly wait to see it. But right now it says there is no live stream available.

Wow, where have I been. I had forgotten how HUGE the eagles' nest is!

[quote]How high is the nest?
About 80 feet.

How big is the nest?
5-6 feet across, about the same deep; it weighs about 1½ tons.

How old is the nest?
The eagles built it in 2007. A previous nest close by fell when a windstorm broke one of the branches.

The 2nd eaglet hatched at Decorah. Watching the momma feed one right now. She and daddy just switched turns on the nest.

The 3rd eaglet finally hatched at Decorah. One of those little guys is quite the alpha! Picks on the other 2.

Oh, I haven't seen them yet... I always tune in when it is brood time!

The Norfolk mother doesn't allow pecking. She stops it pronto.
Both eagles there bring lots of food, so hunger doesn't get to the point where the pecking starts. Last season there was a little bit of pecking by the first chick but that stopped right away.

Shocked

Whoa.... just saw that pecking behavior... really aggressive and mean! The Norfolk eagles don't have it to nearly this extent!

I know, the stinkers.

Was just watching the momma feed them and she kept giving fish to just 2 of them even though the little guy popped his head up too. Then the daddy flew in, and the momma flew away. First thing he started doing was feeding and it was that little guy he fed.
