The eagles at Norfolk are making a new nest.
Here is the Blog entry for it: . They are now moving the camera, thinking they are pretty sure the new nest will be the one for this season. There is also a slide show of stills for this process from 12-30-10: . This is the main link to wvec: . They may start laying in February.

The eagle cam is now active and live.
Guessimates are that they may starting laying the eggs on Jan 31 or early Feb. Sometimes the cam is slow to load... so stay with it. Today Mom and Dad are working on the nest!

Nice close ups of the female in the nest this sunny afternoon.
Some are thinking (via the chat) that the first egg will be today or tomorrow. The chat is being run very nicely this year, so click on it and read all the good info being shared by the biologists. The Blackwater cam already has 3 eggs. .

OMG... today they have zoomed into the Eagles' nest...
The most fabulous closeups of the feeding you can imagine! It is really stunning! Take your breath away stunning! A glimpse into the tender care of these chicks is a first time event I believe!
