We had eagles nesting at the top of our land in CA. Babies fledged our first spring there & came careening down, talons to the fore, seeking a landing. The highest thing in their view was our tv antenna....
The 2nd spring, while the chicks were still being fed as fast as the parents could manage, we came home one day to find the antenna in pieces on the ground. A neighbor, who saw the mess later in the day, suggested we call the sheriff. Nope, we said. Grinning. |
